HoneySuckle Æons, the new album by Hallucinatory Gnostic Supergroup Current 93, is now available for pre-order from Coptic Cat. All items pre-ordered will be sent out on 24 March, the same date that the album is released at the Athens show.

Last year I got an email from Marc Almond asking if I would play on one of his songs. He had heard of me through our mutual and dear friend Baby D…    I will do a feature on Baby D in the coming months…

I had met Marc Almond many years ago… at one of my very lavish birthday parties in NY, at the home of my dear friend Beverly. He came with a friend… He was shy and we barely said two words to each other, I was feeling very La Traviata that evening…

So fast forward 348 years… He emailed me the song versions, and his suggestions. I spent one week learning them, recorded them and emailed them back to him. What a pleasure!

My Madness and I is the song. Track # 13 of corpse. When I first heard it my heart broke. Even though we don’t really know each other, him choosing  that song for me to play on tells me there is a connection. “Madness” is a subject that I am very familiar with…. I even did a show about it(Wrequiem), and  my favorite piece of literature ever is The Madman, by Khalil Gibran, so don’t get me started on madness, or i’ll get mad.

This song is just stunning! The album is fantastic. I love Marc Almond.  We have already spoken about future collaborations… gorgeous.

Boston, what can I say, there’s a reason I left Boston at the age of 16! Although there were many people there to see me, it was not quiet. The crew there were not very nice either… they kept putting the strobe on while I was sound checking, after I asked them to stop several times because it makes me dizzy, and they kept doing it. I have great friends in Boston, and the applause was again huge, but what a bunch of losers the lighting goons were! Great dressing room though, I have played HOB before and they are always top notch.

The NYC show was stellar, what a crowd! total silence as I played… and incredible applause…  it was great to see friends and now I know why everyone loves to play NYC! Havng lived there for so many years I took it for granted, alas I was blown away by the love. I dedicated Dido’s Lament to Klaus Nomi and the roar from the crowd nearly brought tears to my dead eyes… I’ll never forget that.

After the NYC show. My beloved Theremin Octavia was “knocked over” and ultimately smashed. An apparent accident. I stayed in NYC and waited for the diagnosis from Moog it’s manufacturer and where we sent Octavia for repair. Although she was repaired fairly quickly,,, I was replaced on the tour for 4 shows fairly quickly as well…. Rejoined them in Chicago.

Chicagoooo!!!! I love you! An incredible crowd, beautiful decaying deco theater the Riviera… I had never been to Chicago, and now I want to return. The crowd was fantastic, total respect and silence as I played, and once again thunderous applause! Beautiful people, great energy, I love you all.

Just now I played Minneapolis, and they were fabulous.. respect, silence  as I played and great applause. If I had a heart it would have warmed. Considering most of the people on these dates are not there to see me, I am blown away by the respect and adulation. Also this is the Theater that Prince filmed the purple rain video, hello!!  The crew here were sooo  nice and sweet! I would very much like to return to Minnesota, the energy and over all friendliness of the people was shocking. Even people who had not seen the show were randomly introducing themselves to me, and asking how I was doing? what? Amazing. I’m waiting for some dressing room pictures from the nicest people I have ever met. Three Angels came to visit me in the dressing room last night, each of them glowing with beauty and kindness… You know who you are, and I will post the pictures as soon as you send them.

Now I’m on the bus for 2 days driving to Vancouver… slept 11 hours last night. This bus was BB King’s bus! and actually it’s much nicer than the bus I was on with the band… hmmm,

Been going up 4,700 ft, and down then up 3,500 ft then down, all in severe snow for days!  Nose bleeds nausea and am about to loose my mind! and what little food is in me….  After all this then get all dolled up and play an impossibly difficult and invisible instrument in front of thousands of people, perfectly..  and then do it again! Goddess help ME!  I wonder if Starbucks is hiring?

I suppose I should have dated these entries, but I have no idea what day it is ever…  We made it to Vancouver safe and sound… once we came down the last snowy mountain I started feeling better…  Had myself a cup of noodles and some beer nuts. Now I am showered and resting in another fabulous 2 star hotel. Vancouver looks very nice from my window. I may have some time to walk around since we go on late tomorrow and my sound check is after 6. We stopped at several truck stops on the way and I experienced some interesting “people” I’m sure they are saying the same about me. All of them were quite nice and constantly saying Happy Thanksgiving… to which I would reply, “thank you! Happy Thankskilling to you as well” One woman called me a nice young man, I prefer the security guard at the Museum in NY who after checking my bag for weapons said, “Thank you young lady”  mind you I hadn’t shaved in 2 days!  This was while I was waiting for Octavia(my Theremin) to be released from ICU… Spending the day with a smart handsome young man didn’t hurt either ; )

Just finished Vancouver…  great applause and reception.. however I could hardly hear myself play over the chatter, ah Canada… honestly now. Just like Toronto and Montreal, but we did sell  of cd’s so I guess they enjoyed it… Back on the bus and another 10 hours or something …to Seattle… a few more days and I’ll be home!!!  Safe in my gilded cage.

Seattle was an incredible show. The venue a nightmare! However the people involved and the great reception from the audience made up for it… The crowd went wild again, AND they were very respectful and attentive during my set… I am now at the lovely home of my friend Jill Tracy  in San Fran whom I have played with and will play with again at the Edwardian Ball in LA in January, check her out at http://jilltracy.com I am too tired to write anymore or upload pictures. 16 hours on that bus from Seattle to San Fransisco, so I will update after the show tomorrow…

San Fransisco was great. Excellent crowd.. The Warfield is the most beautiful theater we have played on this tour. It was great seeing friends and the crew were so nice and complimentary… Took nice pix of the theater, will post soon.

On the bus finally going to LA! So glad to be going home soon… I’ll rest at home until tomorrow night’s show… Very excited my Mom and Sister and close friends are coming.

Los Angeles was great. The theater was beautiful and I look forward to returning there in January. I will continue to post pictures…
